Introduction to Contracted Services for Helium Leak Testing in Air Tightness Testing

[Leak Test] Pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, piping units, etc., can detect minute leaks and identify defective (leak) locations!

The airtightness test "Helium Leak Test" is one of the non-destructive inspections that is considered important not only in Japan but also in various countries around the world, including Europe and the United States. There are various testing methods depending on the purpose, such as quantifying the amount of leakage by pressurizing the inside of the product with vacuum or helium gas, and identifying leak points from invisible cracks. Ultimately, this leads to the prevention of leakage accidents. In this instance, we will introduce the challenges faced by our customer and the solutions provided. ■Challenge Due to phenomena such as the building's air conditioning (absorption chiller) not heating or cooling properly, it is necessary for the supplying manufacturer to respond urgently. ■Solution We conducted a leak inspection after vacuuming the piping related to the airtightness test "Helium Leak Test" to identify the leak points. The manufacturer then repaired the identified areas, and a re-inspection of the repaired areas confirmed that there were no leaks. *For more details, please contact us or refer to the PDF.

Helium Leak Testing Contract Service

Detects even the smallest leaks. Capable of meeting the needs of various fields such as chemical plants, nuclear power, and space development.

Our company offers a "Helium Leak Testing Service" capable of detecting minute leaks from invisible damages. We provide tests such as the "Vacuum Hood Method," which quantifies the total leakage of the test specimen, and the "Sniffer Method," which can identify leak locations. For specialized products, we also conduct proof tests using the mop-up method to verify the effectiveness of the inspection methods. 【Achievements (Partial)】 ■ Plant Piping (Pressure Integral Method) Confirming no leaks from flanges and welds ■ Air Conditioning Equipment (Sniffer Method) Detecting leaks from corrosion points due to aging ■ Vacuum Equipment (Vacuum Hood Method) Confirming no leaks from pressure vessels and vacuum tanks *Please also refer to the accompanying materials. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

ASTM F2096 Bubble Test

The bubble test specified in ASTM F2096 (for detecting large leaks) can be performed.

- This test is a method established by ASTM for detecting leaks in sealed packaging by internally pressurizing the package. - The purpose of this test is to detect gross leaks in non-porous and porous packaging. - Specifically, the sealed package is submerged to a certain depth below the water surface and inflated at a predetermined pressure. Bubble formation is then observed to visually confirm the presence and location of any gross leaks. - ISO 11607-1 states that as part of packaging system performance testing, "the integrity of the sterilization barrier system must be demonstrated after sterilization and subsequent performance testing." Its Annex B describes ASTM F2096 as the standard test method for evaluating the seal integrity of medical packaging. ▼ For more details, please download the PDF document (recommended). ▼ Customers in a hurry, please contact us via the 'Inquiry' section below.

Pressure and leak testing: Various testing methods - atmospheric pressure/hydraulic pressure/vacuum pressure [Contract testing]

We can conduct three types of tests according to your request! The hydraulic test can be performed using the actual liquid that will be used.

We offer three types of tests according to your needs. The air pressure test is convenient and has high cost benefits, while the hydraulic test uses liquid for testing. The vacuum pressure test is used for testing vacuum containers and similar items. 【Comparison of Detection Capabilities by Leak Test (Unit: Pa·m^3/sec)】 ■ Detectable leak amount under pressure - Air pressure (submersion) test: Maximum pressure 2MPa - Hydraulic test: Maximum pressure 20MPa ■ Detectable leak amount under reduced pressure - Vacuum pressure (helium) test: Maximum vacuum pressure 10^-5 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
